Totally makes sense, although I'm not much of a fan of the non-carb beer.

You always need to try it at room temp, you get a much better taste cuz the cold masks some flavor. Plus you can sure tell if ti si bad right away then and save bottling time :(

Tried the Stout a few weeks back. A good clear beer not an explosion of flavor but also no off taste either. Enjoyed the whole bottle top to bottom. Have not had the opportunity to have the IPA yet I am waiting until I can sit and relax and enjoy it.

Pops will be sending you some of my porter. I will send a bunch because I had some trouble with my dishwasher and some had some soap crystals in the bottles even though I ran it through the sterilizing was TWICE. I then rinsed them all out in sterilizing solution jus to be sure but a few may have some off flavors so I will get you a few to try to make sure you get a good one.

Hope that all drops down for you, actually I would prefer it to stay on the top as I siphon from the bottom on my carboy. Last time I dry hopped I put the hops in a cheese cloth bag. then nothing was left in my beer. Not sure how long but I think it was a month.

I was surprised how the hops all broke apart. When I use full hop cones I always rip them apart so the (non technical term) little yellow dots that contain the oils, get into the wort better.

Good luck
Bill

No problem about the bottle. My wife actually recycled one of the four you sent up. I'll be bringing back three empties for you. Good time of the year for stouts with a cold unfinished basement. I'll again save some for you (if it turns out ok) and look forward to tasting yours.
